2019 Margaux Guide to the Best Wines in Bottle Tasting Notes, Buying Tips

Winemakers

The best 2019 Margaux wines showcase everything great about the region. They are aromatic, silky, fresh, concentrated, refined, and rich, with long, silky-textured mid-palates and finishes. What is interesting about 2019 Margaux is that even though the appellation is massive, with a myriad of different terroirs, you can find outstanding wines all over the appellation. With 2019 Margaux, what you find are elegance, finesse, charm, and floral-oriented aromatics.

There is good intensity and purity of fruit and best of all, with 2019 Margaux, many of the wines will be enjoyable with just a few years of age, due to the precocious nature of the 2019 Bordeaux vintage.

With 2019 Margaux, similar to what took place all over the Left Bank during the growing season, you have a warm, sunny, dry vintage that was also shaped by the cooler temperatures at night. The vintage was dry, but like all the best years, the rain managed to arrive at the perfect moment, helping the grapes reach maturity.
