Beginner
“Dijon clones are a bad joke perpetrated on the Oregon wine industry” say winemaker John Paul of Clos Electrique in Oregon. He speaks as the minority, since more than 98% of the state is planted to Dijon clones of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, but he speaks from personal experience.

John Paul sat with Ask a Winemaker at StoryTeller Wine Company in Portland, Oregon.
