Ingredients:
1 1/4 Cups Red Wine (300ml)
1 Cup Water (240ml)
1/4 Cup Fresh Orange Juice (60ml)
1/2 Cup Caster Sugar (95g)
Piece of Orange Rind
1 Cinnamon Stick
4 Pears, Peeled With Stems

Directions:
1. In the bowl of a slow cooker, combine the red wine, water, orange juice, sugar, orange rind, and cinnamon stick. Stir a few times to combine. Add the pears. (Pears should be peeled, but with the stems left.) Cover slow cooker with lid. Cook on high for about 4 hours 30 minutes or until the pears are soft and tender. (If the pears aren’t covered completely in liquid, flip them over half way through the cooking time.)
2. Transfer liquid to a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, and cook until reduced by half. Let cool. Serve each pear with the wine mixture.
