How To Taste Wine Tannins – Develop Your Palate

Beginner
Learn how to taste tannin in wine by developing your palate. I added black tea to red wine and compared it to a control wine which was a Syrah from Sicily. This experiment focuses on the wine characteristic of tannin.

Materials for the experiment:
Dry red wine
1 bag of black tea

Steep the tea in the wine for 10 minutes. Compare against the control wine.

Let me know in the comments if you would ever consider adding tea to wine.
