There are so many wine styles and appellations or grapes in Italy that it’s taken us 11 Episodes to get around the country, the reds of all regions, the sparklings, the whites, and today I want to round up this Giro d’Italia (understand the tour of Italy) with one often forgotten about but important style in Italy: Sweet wines or say Dessert wines although some of them you can have as an aperitivo. So I’ll explain the different styles broken down into categories and how important they are to Italy’s wine culture, and I’ll detail the most famous origins and appellations for each.
