LA Made: Rethinking Wines – A Culture of Flavor and Feel

Wine Types
Writing about wine and wine education have tended to prioritize a British-American perspective, but today a greater diversity of voices are finally being listened to. Drawing upon her own background as an Inuk woman, Elaine Chukan Brown, one of the few Indigenous wine reviewers in America, will show how honoring and respecting our cultural differences can help us enjoy a greater appreciation of our own lives, including the rich flavor and feel offered by both food and wine.

Elaine Chukan Brown serves as a writer, speaker, educator, and illustrator of wine. Amongst her many writing awards includes Wine Communicator of the Year in 2020. Prior to her career in wine, Elaine was a philosophy professor specializing in ethics and social politics.
