Focus On: Aged Wines

Wine Types
In this ‘Focus On’ event we will cover the complex topic of ageing wines.

The event will explore why certain wines age better than others by unpicking the science behind grape varieties, methods of production and growing regions and how they influence a wine’s longevity.

We’ll discuss the kinds of changes to expect in the flavours and the mouthfeel some of the world’s most famous wines, including those made from cabernet sauvignon, riesling, semillon, nebbiolo and more.

Whether you’re a collector or a casual enthusiastic, this is a fascinating topic that any Wine Society member can enjoy.
