How is Rosé wine made? What does Saignée mean?

Beginner
Winemaker Kathleen Inman describes how she makes a Rosé of Pinot Noir in an intentional manner, i.e by whole cluster pressing her red grapes instead of using the saignée method at Inman Family Wines. Kathleen explained her method on the night after her wedding anniversary and tells Ask a Winemaker a funny story about how she forgot to get her husband an anniversary present years ago and made him a Rosé instead. Shot on location following a night harvest of Pinot Noir for the 2013 Rosé from Inman Family Wines.
