How to Taste Wine: Step 4 – Describe

Beginner
Now it’s time to talk about how to describe what you are tasting! I usually encourage people to taste wine and then use my easy 3 step process to DESCRIBE any wine. First describe the body (light, medium, or full) of that wine. Second describe a few aromas and flavors you identified int he SMELL and TASTE steps. Lastly for whites mention the acidity (high/crisp to low/mellow) or for reds describe the tannins (low/soft or high/firm).
