At La Crema Winery in Windsor, Kassandra and Christy learn how sheep are utilized to manage the cover crop, which helps reduce CO2 emissions. Finally, they visit Benziger Family Winery in Glen Ellen, where they discover some of the biodynamic farming practices that make this acclaimed winery a true pioneer. The winery consists of 35 acres of grapes planted alongside another 50 acres dedicated to olive oil trees, lavender, and over 50 sheep that help naturally fertilize and maintain the vineyards.
