Jack recently went to the 55th Anniversary of the Luxembourg Campus and then spent a few glorious days visiting the Vineyards and Gardens in the Loire, his two favorite things!
Join him on a tour of the area with wines that are great examples of what the Loire has to offer. If you are in Ohio, these wines are available at your local wine shop through Cutting Edge distributors.
Below is a list of the wines that we will taste and discuss:
2021 Domaine Luneau-Papin Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine Tire Sur Lie La Grange (Wine.com has the ’20)
2022 Mary Taylor Anjou Blanc Pascal Biotteau (Chateau Soucherie)
2022 Bernard Fouquet, Vouvray Cuvée de Silex (Champalou)
2022 Thomas-Labaille Sancerre Chavignol L’Authentique Rose
2021 Domaine de Pallus Chinon Messanges Rouge
2017 Domaine de Pallus Chinon Les Pensees de Pallus
(You can get one or both of the last two wines. Getting both will allow you to compare the differences in age and quality level)
We will taste and discuss all six selected wines, but you are not required to purchase them all. If you don’t have them or can’t find these specific brands, pull out a personal favorite and follow along!
This event is free to attend, but registration is required. You must be 21+ to participate. Questions? Contact Emily LeFevers at bostiae@MiamiOH.edu
