About Consorzio Tutela Vini Etna Doc
“According to myth, the ashes from the lava eruptions by the volcano is the fiery “breath” of the giant Enceladus, defeated by Athena and trapped for eternity in an underground prison under Mount Etna, and the earthquakes are caused by its turning between the chains. With the help of time, man’s action has tenaciously superimposed an agricultural landscape on the lava landscape, it is among the richest on the island where the art of cultivating and working the vine has ancient origins and customs: in the ” History of wines d’Italia ” published in 1596, the grapes produced on the hills surrounding Catania are remembered, the great wines are attributed to the ashes of Etna. Judeka Wines
“Judeka wines are an expression of terroir, respect for the environment and for the consumer. This philosophy has made it possible to achieve quality wines, representative of the territory through research and innovation.
Judeka follows the principles of organic farming, the grapes are harvested by hand, and in doing so they maintain the character of the fruit while preserving the peculiarities of the native vines.
The winery is surrounded by 45 hectares of clay and sand, soils that give the grapes particular elegance and intensity in the aromas.
“We are organic down to the DNA. Judeka wines are the result of a careful oenology that respects the consumer. All interventions aim to guarantee uniqueness, authenticity and genuinity”. (Valentina Nicodemo).
Caltagirone is included in the specification of Cerasuolo di Vittoria, the only DOCG (Controlled and Guaranteed Denomination of Origin) of Sicily.”…
