A little parody of how winemakers talk about vin de terroir being better than vin d’effort. This is when winemakers say that you want a wine to reflect a sense of place or terroir and you don’t want to sense a human hand at work. Of course this is the exaggeration of that philosophy and it has some humorous consequences as I chow down on some dirt. MM! VINEYARD DIRT! YUM! Wine tasting has never been so unpleasant.
Tasting notes: dry, abrasive attack; strong minerality; dead leaves; low alcohol; significant sediment; muddy finish
